Jennifer Frank has been practicing law since 1992, and since 2008 she has devoted her career to elder law, estate planning, and special needs planning. With more than three decades of experience, she brings both depth of knowledge and compassion to her work, guiding families through the complex decisions that come with aging, incapacity, and legacy planning.

Jennifer began her elder law practice working alongside the highly respected Patricia Nelson Reade, gaining invaluable mentorship and insight into the unique challenges faced by older adults and their families. Building on that foundation, she has developed a reputation for her ability to translate complicated legal concepts into clear, practical guidance that empowers clients to make informed choices.

She is a proud member of the Special Needs Alliance, an invitation-only national network of leading attorneys dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities. A firm believer in continuing legal education, Jennifer has served on the planning committee for the Maine Elder Law and Estate Planning Institute since 2012. For the past twelve years, she has provided Maine legal practitioners with annual updates on elder law. She also serves on the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Maine State Bar Association and is the author of “MaineCare and Creditor Protection Trusts” published in A Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Maine (MCLE New England, 2024).

Earlier in her career, Jennifer spent 15 years as the managing attorney at a mass-tort litigation firm, representing individuals harmed by unsafe prescription drugs. This advocacy work sharpened her litigation skills, strengthened her attention to detail, and deepened her empathy for those facing life’s most difficult challenges—qualities she continues to bring to her elder law and estate planning practice today.

When she is not working with clients, Jennifer enjoys hiking Maine’s trails and spending time with her husband and two adult children.
